Happy Mothers Day - To all my kids, I love you and am so grateful to be your Mom.

To my grand-daughter stolen from me. I think you are about 10 months old and we think you are named Ada. We love you. You precious missed, adored and ached for. There is no excuse for you not knowing our love, our arms, our happiness to have you. We hope it won't be too long before you know us. I do love you, wherever you are.

To Brad & Loli Johnson to helped to steal and hide my grandchild and convinced your daughter Tonya that it was okay to lie and hide our little grand-daughter and my sons child from us - there is no words for the amount and depths of the hate I feel and the evil you are. Hell is to good for you. Joci & Ryan if you are party to hiding my own flesh and blood, may the God that you believe in know and may it affect you deeply forever.

Reinvesting in Your Business

Reinvesting in Your Business

A major problem that I think a lot of people have when they get into the "make money online niche" is that they think of it as a job instead of running a real business.  There is a big difference between a job and running your own business.

People go to their jobs and get paid without investing first.  Well, most of the time anyways, maybe some minor clothing costs, gas for the car., but usually nothing major.

Compare that with running any business.  Talk to any brick and mortar business out there and they will tell you that you must invest money to get your business going.

I made this mistake when I first started out online.  I just thought of it like it was a job and all I was going to have to do is put in some quality work and make money without investing anything.  I was dead wrong!

People will say, well with the Bum Marketing method, you don't need any start up cash.  Well, that may be, but how many people want to do all the keyword research, find quality affiliate products that you think might sell, write up different bio boxes, submit the articles to different article directories, wait for them to get approved, then maybe you make some sales and then you have to wait for your affiliate check.

There are so many better ways to make money online.  You just have to be willing to spend some money on research and testing.  Once you find that profitable niche, it's time to spend more money advertising and expanding in the niche you chose.

As time goes on and you start making money, you can start outsourcing a lot of traffic generation methods and you just keep on scaling up your campaign.  You want to try to squeeze every last penny out of your successful niche.

It really isn't that hard to do this.  I think that so many people make things way too complicated.  They move on to way too many niches and none of them are profitable because they either move to fast or just don't invest enough time and money to get them going and into profit.

One thing that really helps is if you can get paid quickly, with your marketing methods. You can reinvest some of the money right away and keep working your way up the profit ladder. The people that become successful are the people that learn how to reinvest in their online business properly.

Yes!

My dear husband has finally got his virtual IT computer support business of the ground and running full bore. His idea is turning heads and has become a fast welcome in the world of the home office, virtual assistants, small businesses, communities, and offered virtually anywhere in the world.

Face it, without your beloved computer you wouldn't be reading this post, doing business online, surfing the web, or any of the millions of other remarkable things we do online everyday that did not exist for the entire existance of our planet - until this very decade.

In fact, if you aren't online - you are archaic and you are losing fast ground in anything you do. Heck, we homeschool our children with an online school! I would never have dreamed that even possible with our older children. Got to love technology! When it works right.....

Take a look at what Jim can do for you and your computer support needs. Referrals are welcome and we all know it would be ideal to have our own Personal Computer Expert there whenever we needed him. Not when we could haul the darn thing down to the local Geeky Computer Squadron. This is worth every dime. When your computer is down, how much is it costing you.

Check out the stats that over 80% of the required needs of your computer can be done virtually and that is exactly what i-SupportDesk.com does. Visit i-SupportDesk.com now! We'd love to see you there. You need what we offer.

Your Personal Computer Expert! We Can Go Virtually Anywhere!

I love Squidoo

I started making lenses on Squidoo a couple months ago, just to see what all the fuss was about and I have to say, its really kind of fun. You can't do a blog on it, but you can do a bunch of other things on it so I have been trying it out.

Check them out and rank my sites will you? And let's talk about how to make our blogs and lenses work together.

Their super easy to create once you wrap your brain around them and they can really boost your blogs too.
Here, see what I mean:

http://smartest.tammydickinson.ever.com - This is one on their new EVER project - check it out

http://best.momblogs.ever.com - This was fun to put together and it is on the EVER project too - put yours on here! I'd love to have you show it off on this lens.

http://best.dadblogs.ever.com - Now if you didn't know that there is a thriving huge population of great Dad blogs out there then you are missing out on some really great stuff! Know a blogging Dad? Add him here!

http://best.identityprotection.ever.com - This is my husbands business and it's really awesome - if you own a computer, a credit report, or you breath, you need to look into this - seriously.

http://cutest.kidvideos.ever.com - This is a unique page as they are just starting this kind of page on the EVER project. I think its really fun. You should make one and show it off on your blog.

I have others, but these are some that I have worked on and think you might enjoy.

Oh, and if someone out there knows how to get the Twitter widget to work on a Squidoo page, let me know because I can't seem to make it work and I love Twitter. I'm on Twitter with the name http://www.

Live Each Day Like You Were Going To Die Tomorrow - Steve Jobs

One of the most incredibly inspiring speeches I have heard in a long long time. This inspires me even further down the unknown path of my passion. To create songs & to be a trainer, a public speaker. I don't know how to get from point A to point B, but those are my passions. I am 40 and I have been living someone elses life and trapped with the dogma of living with other peoples things, and my heart knows what I truly want to become.

Mom's know that often times our dreams, goals, and hopes are set aside because of the demands that we have in taking care of our children, but I feel I must grab hold now, and they will understand.

So now, with people like Steve reminding me yet again, we are all born with genius...I will work towards my dreams and I hope to find somewhere on my new path, success.

I will try to connect the dots, and I hope to 'stay hungry, stay foolish'.....

The transcripts are on YouTube right next to the video if you wish to read along. Thank you Steve!

Social Bookmarking Basics & Tips

{ Posted by Kenneth Fox }
{ 4:45 AM, 2007-Nov-3 } { Posted in Search Engine Optimization } { 0 comments } { Link }

Social Bookmarking websites are basically sites that categorize and store bookmark links.

Examples include technorati.com, digg.com,fark.com, BloginiVille.com and stumbleupon.com

Millions of visitors flood these Social Bookmarking sites to search for information,
just like they would a search engine.

The difference though between a typical search engine and a social bookmarking site is that the content of a social bookmarking site is user driven by your target audience.

Therefore, social bookmarking sites allow you to get FREE targeted traffic
like the kind you would usually pay for from the search engines, but you get it without
paying a dime!

So the idea of bookmarking is to post links back to your web page from these Social
Bookmarking websites. You will specify some keywords (called tags) which categorize your bookmark.

Social Bookmarking is a tremendous opportunity to generate automatic traffic to your blog.

And traffic is crucial to your success..

********************************************************************
For More Information On How To Get Involved In A Professional Blog Hosting & Web 2.0
Membership, Please Visit: Professional Blog Hosting Service
********************************************************************

Here's how Social Bookmarking works:

To make things simple, we'll use digg.com, another social bookmarking site, as an example.

So you visit digg.com and bookmark your blog.

That means:

You include the URL of your blog and "tags" for it.

For example, if I bookmarked a poker blog I'd use this URL:

http://www.blablapoker.net/pokerblog

And these tags (think of the tags as keywords...)

. Online Texas Hold'Em
. Learn To Play Poker
. Poker Tips
. How To Win At Poker
...etc...

People visit digg.com for searching things. Think of it like a Search Engine.

They see the listings or search them or see the popular sites and when something matches to their interests, they click the link. Digg.com keeps updating all tags with the click-rate so:

The more people visit your blog....
...the more popular your blog shows on the directory
...the more people click and visit your blog
...the more traffic you get...
...the more money you make with your blog!

Plus:

People can include a button on their browser's toolbar so when they visit a site on the Internet that they think is a good one, then they click that button and bookmark that site to digg.com's directory.

Once again:

...the more people visit your blog
...the more popular your site comes on the directory
...the more people click and visit your blog
...the more traffic you get...
...the more money you make with your blog! Hurray!

One more thing:

As you can plainly see, those blogs and websites that offer such a service keep getting traffic from the users that:

1)Visit the site to search for their preferred listings
2)Bookmark a site and add a link to the directory

And because of this (because of sites like digg.com) are being updated due to the traffic attracted and the new links added to the directory, guess what happens?

Search Engines love those sites!

Can you see the picture now??

If you add your blog to sites like digg.com or if people like your blog and add it to sites like digg.com, and your keywords are unique, then....

Search Engines will crawl those keywords and when someone enters those keywords while searching through the Search Engines, your link in those bookmarking sites comes up...

Thus, your blog, the one you submitted to those bookmarking sites get tons of free traffic from:

1)People that Visit the site (in our example digg.com) to search for their preferred listings
2)People that bookmark your blog and add a link to the directory
3)People that search through the Search Engines and end up at digg.com because your tags came up first!

Social Bookmarking is a fantastic, easy way to get lots of traffic to your blog in a short amount of time. The other great thing about Social Bookmarking is that it is accessible to just about anyone, meaning you don't have to be a techno geek or have a big budget to tap the vast traffic potential of Social Bookmarking sites.

The main thing is to get out there and do something and you will soon obtain the results you're after.

Okay, I really am considering this....taking advice from a teen that play video games. LOL!

How desperate do you have to be to pull out the kiddies DDR? I'll tell you how desperate,
I DON'T EVEN OWN ONE!! But I just might this week! ha ha, no seriously...
I know I don't have a 'boy's metabolism, nor do I have the advantage of being a teen at age 40, but I DO have the desire to get this freaking weight off & if my 'exercise machine' can double as kid entertainment than that's a win/win in the family budget, eh? LOL!!

**NOTE - I do NOT codone Soda drinking, but if you just have to have one, I do NOT recommend ANY living thing drink DIET SODA - Just so you know, the 2 largest buyers of Aspartame are the Diet Soda industry & the Lumber industry. Hmmm, what does the lumber industry use it for? It is a component of the bonding glue they use to make press board.....Just don't drink it...ick.

Oh, and I am a salad kinda gal, not squishy oatmeal. So I am going to start a yummy lean salad recipe area here on A Mom's World. If you got some that just rock the taste buds & should be included, please send them over & a link to your site so we can give you Kudos!

Ebay Listing by Mom - Funniest Darn Listing Ever - Us Mom's Get It & She Has Over 170,000 Views!!!

LOT OF POKEMON CARDS THAT MY KIDS TRIED TO SNEAK BY ME

The shopping place with a sense of humor & traffic driver to blogs everywhere!

This is an ACTUAL Ebay listing that closed last month! I laughed so gosh darn hard that I had tears rolling down my face! No joke! Okay, yes, this is a huge joke, well not really but us Mom's know how funny an exasperating trip to the store can be with all your Kidlets in tow. Okay, so it's not at the time, but when you read about someone else's carbon copy cartload of fun, you can't help but laugh your guts out that someone else has the same kids that I do!

No, he is NOT an angel - I don't care how cute he is! Who thought of giving kid their own cart to pack full of things you won't let them buy and then they scream and cry at the check out while you sit there with this genetic monster and $200 of baby bottle pops and M & M's!

I myself have 6 kids at home. We have 10 in total. yes, that is correct. 2 are over 20 and out of the house. One is 18 & 3/4's and working and sort of doing College, and one is a 6' 3" Lumberjack that writes his own songs. I miss them ....but I digress....

So I have 6 kids that at any given time that they think I could possibly be leaving the domicile without them, they perk up like a bird dog that heard we just adopted a new Canary. "I wanna go! Can I go? I wanna buy something! PLEEEEEEAAASEEE!" Yeah, you know the drill....and while I'm trying to detach the Velcro children to get out the door, I have to do my 3 point inspection of the minivan as I leave the garage in case I missed one trying to sneak in.  You know check all mirrors, in back and under/around the car for toddlers. "Kids, Cats, & Cars" as I tell them, always make sure your clear. Every Mom knows the importance of said drill before leaving the driveway after they lost a bike, roller skate, or anything else WE didn't leave behind our cars.

Take a look at this funny Mom's Ebay listing for the Pokémon cards she is selling that her kids snuck into the basket! ROFL! What a riot! Yes, this is an everyday experience for us, but you guys really have to experience it for yourself to know how truly hilarious this listing really is...:D

And to the genius this is as a list building tool - My hats off to you Mom! Yes ladies and gents, this IS a great marketing tool and dang it, I never thought of it!

I have added this traffic generating Blog to my Link List over there on the right because you can never have too much real life humor from another Mother that sees the funny side of that which makes us crazy at the time. Thanks Mom2my6pack from A Mom's World!

Here is the listing: Pokemon Cards For Sale On Ebay By Mom That Took Kids Shopping

Blogging & Affiliate Marketing Make A Nice Couple

{ Posted by Kenneth Fox }

Blogging for Affiliate Riches!

Blogs are quick and easy to set up and excellent vehicles for marketing affiliate programs. However, having said this, your success as an affiliate marketer begins with choosing the right affiliate programs and creating your blog to target a profitable niche. Blogs need to be highly focused to be successful. Therefore, it is important to spend time planning your blog and affiliate marketing strategies before you even establish them.

Once you have set up your blog, decided on which affiliate products you want to market, and have begun to post unique and informative articles specific to your niche, you need to optimize your blog for search engines. First, a sitemap of your blog should be submitted to the search engines separately. Each search engine will instruct you on how to do this. Second, your articles should be tightly focused on a subject, containing relevant keywords and synonyms (to appeal to Google’s latent semantic index) while at the same time being interesting, informative and unique.

Getting your blog indexed with the search engines has to be your first priority if you want to earn a good affiliate income. However, it is only a starting point. There are a number of things you can do to increase traffic to your blog so that you can market your affiliate programs to targeted visitors. These include submitting your blog to multiple relevant directories, subscribing to a feed service such as Feedburner.com, releasing press releases about your blog, and submitting articles to article directories with a link back to your blog. Once you have taken these steps to generate visitors to your blog you can devise specific strategies to market your affiliate programs.

Effective and easy strategies you can implement to create affiliate income include:

  • Post articles that keep your readers updated about your affiliate products. Include any new inclusions in a range or features that may have recently been included in a product.
  • Write reviews about different affiliate products with links to the affiliate sales page. Make sure your reviews are relevant to your targeted readers and clearly convey the benefits of a product.
  • Write informative articles about specific issues or problems which can be helped or even completely solved by your affiliate products. Each article should be focused on one affiliate program only. Do not try to market two at once.
  • Make sure you also include text link advertisements or graphic links to your affiliate sales pages. You never know whether a reader will be intrigued by an advertisement and click on it. If the affiliate sales page offers a free subscription to an e-course or a newsletter, advertise this in the link text. It is easier to convert a subscriber to a purchaser because you have a chance to build confidence and credibility with them.
  • Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is also an excellent way to specifically market your affiliate programs. You can research keywords and design your ads to appeal to your target audience.

Not all of your affiliate products will sell as well as others and in fact some are likely to be duds. Therefore, an important aspect of affiliate marketing is evaluating the performance of your products, getting rid of those that are not working and replacing them with other affiliate products.

If you put all these strategies in place, you will give yourself the best chance of earning a good income from affiliate marketing. You can be among those highly successful affiliate marketers who are making excellent monthly incomes from their blogs.

Don't Miss What Was Created For You

Opportunity is around you all the time,
but you have to be ready for it.
When your chance comes,
you must be prepared to take advantage of it.

The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong,
for time and chance happen to everyone.
Take a second look at what appears to be someone's 'good luck.'
You'll find not luck but preparation,
planning and success-producing thinking.

When you're prepared for opportunity,
your chance for success is sure to come.

The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success.
The tide of opportunity comes to everyone.
Even to you.

Have A Great Week!

Kid Nation: Hot Reality Show That Every Family Should Watch

KID NATION - CHANGING 'REALITY' TV'S IDEALS

This new show is getting a lot of attention. Both Good and Bad. Why? Well take 40 kids from 8 to 14 and let them 'pioneer' it into a ghost town and recreate a viable working town - on your own.

When my older boys were around 14 I sent them on a 3 day trip from Wyoming to Utah learning how it 'really' was to be a Pioneer and get a taste of what that must have been like. Why would I do such a thing? We have a pansy generation of children that have everything pretty much at a buttons push. They microwave, video game, computer surf, air condition set, CD/DVD play, gasoline skate, YOU NAME IT and our children have learned to be lazy and unappreciative.

I love my children. They are my life. If they would have done something like this when they were this age, I would have camped out like open week for the first Star Wars movie to get them an audition. Why would any sane parent do this? Watch for yourself.

How many parents today wouldn't give anything to help your children appreciate their history, and the blood, sweat, and tears that parents and others have given to their genes, their heritage.

How many parents wouldn't love the opportunity to show children how capable they are? How YES they can! How hard work is not a curse, it's a blessing, and how working together is a life lesson that is probably the most important thing you can ever learn in life - Hard work, Team Work, willing to do what the rest of the others aren't willing to do to get huge rewards.

I love this show so far. I will be watching the future shows and am Tivoing them as we speak.

Its hard not to love these kids and I dare you to watch this and not have it tug on your heart strings several times a show. You go kids! And thanks for those that understand where the heck I truly am coming from.

As for my kids that were able to do a mini trip to experience something even slightly similar - remember who you are, create your reality, rely on yourself and find a way. YOU are greater than technology, negativity, and if you remember all those little lessons I tried to instill in you in Kindergarten, you will know enough.

Love, Mom

Create Excitement By Using Videos On Your Blogs

If you are a good and effective blog owner, you have
probably tried to think of various ways that you could
establish a more loyal readership and gain a steadier
following of fans throughout the internet.

The idea behind having a blog in the first place is to
have an established set of readers, whether you are
looking at making a profit from your blog or just passing
the time with a blogging hobby.

Either way, one of the ways of going about doing so is by
creating video excitement on your page.

What good do videos do on your page, you ask?

It is very simple; think about the state of things today as
related to technology. Video, cellular phones, Youtube,
Myspace videos and even flip-down television sets in the
back seats of people's motor vehicles--video is the new

revolution.

Why not have the same types of instant video excitement
on your blog? If anything can help to create a base of loyal
readers, video on your blogs is certainly one of them.

If you want to incorporate videos into your blog, there are
a couple of ways that you can go about it. First of all, you
can make your videos on your own or you can obtain them
from other places, with the appropriate permissions
of course.

Videos usually serve a purpose; they aren't supposed to be
on your blog just for the heck of it.

Again, they should be just one more reason to have people
visit your blog, and they will only do this if your videos are
useful to them in some shape or form.

Comedic value, information, or any other type of entertainment
are all valuable assets to any video that might make them perfect
for helping you to gain a loyal readership of your blog.

There are a million and one reasons why video on your blog
can help get it more established, but the main reason is that it
appeals to a whole different type of person than the text part of
your blog does.

Video blogging appeals to the part of the population that learns
better by seeing others do it, and pays better attention to those
things that are in actual visual form rather than in written form. It has
to do with learning styles, which are very important to development
of just about anything.

One thing to keep in mind when it comes to video blogging:

keep it short and sweet....

People only know how to pay attention for a short period of
time before their attention diverts to something else.

If you can't hold your viewer/reader's attention for more than a few
minutes you should probably keep your videos short on your
blog, and help divert your reader's attention to another piece
of useful information that is that is elsewhere on your blog.

Keep working at it and you will get better and better. Don't worry
about making a hollywood production but at the same time, make
sure you have a reason for creating the video in the first place or
your visitors won't be coming back for more
.

The Greatest Joy A Mother Can Have Is To Raise Honorable Children

MAKING CHOICES IS YOUR GREATEST POWER

While your character is formed by your circumstances,
your desires can shape those circumstances.
The one thing over which you have absolute control is your own thoughts.
It is this that puts you in a position to control your own destiny.

Nature is constantly at work around you.
Character and destiny are her handiwork.
She gives you love and hate, jealousy and reverence.
You have the power to choose which impulse you follow.

At any time you can decide to alter the course of your life.
No one can ever take that away from you.
You can do what you want to do and be who you want to be.

Your greatest power is the power to choose.
